I asked the manager at the gym if he's contacted the police about the seemingly regular burglar harvesting of the parking lot...he said he did and the police essentially told him they have bigger fish to fry...like the time they pulled me over on Sunset and cited me for having no front license plate.
Oddly enough, now that they hit my H2, they probably will figure (correctly) that I will never make that mistake again.
The gym actually has a patrol going through the parking lot, but they sold too many memberships to the typical new-years-resolution crowd and I had to park way over in another section...a section they apparently don't own nor patrol: that's where I went wrong....figuring they patrolled it.
Ya know, if I was so lazy I would go out there and stake-out the lot for a wee bit of payback!
You may recall a year or so ago I got keyed in this same lot. If only I weren't addicted to racquetball....
