I too, put mine through my company; however, I bought and did not lease. There really is no difference, it all washes out when you sell or turn in.
The big advantage is the Section 179 fast deduction. With normal vehicles, you can depreciate and therefore deduct about $4000 the first year. Vehicles over 6000 pounds are considered utility vehicles and get a first year depreciation of $24,000. We are having a very good year this year, so it always makes sense to depreciate as much as possible. This rule, plus other deductions (thanks, prez Bush), should save me about $8000 this year in taxes.
