I know some people in other cars have used what amounts to a free auxiliary (i.e. audio casette, etc.) deck in their GM cars to hook up a 1/8" miniplug, and they plug their iPod into that. Or, if they don't want to use the six-disc changer (with an iPod, who cares?) they use the plugs for that.
It requires a bit of work to do it (to get behind your stereo), but I imagine a similar thing may be possible on the H3.
I consider the lack of an AUX port to be a major oversight. If I was on the fence, it could literally be the thing to push me over the edge - to the point that I'd even pay $50 for what would probably cost GM $1.00 or less to add.
