Yep many states have issue with this.. However in most cases you are allowed to run atleat one set of lights over and above your headlights ( check you local regs.) In most cases you can just plead ignorance. and thank them for telling you about them.. "Darn this H2.. it has so many gadgets I can't figure out how to turn them off.. Can you help me".

Some times just acting stupid helps..

PS.. I jerri rigged mine to see what they look like at night.. Don't help don't hurt.
