. It's on my truck volt so does not leave much space, however this is not a DD anymore and groceries will still fit on the top of the spare or on the pasenger seats.
If I go camping with a lot of stuff I put it on top if I need I need the space. For a trip like Moab it will stay in the back. For a trip to the hardware store or Costco where I need space I take it out and take a risk
