Most likely... Though its a little early for the good stuff to pass on through, lot of unusual types nest in the Joshua Trees and surrounding habitat.

Little background info, Got a biology degree from Univ. of Oregon, love nature, and tried at one time to become an independent birding/nature guide in Southern California.

Last time I was up that way, I saw a red fox (no not Redd Foxx) in broad daylight which was pretty cool.

Might see desert tortoise, tarantula, prob. too early/cold for snakes and for sure coyotes... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

AND BIGHORN SHEEP!!! NO KIDDING! They are all over Afton Canyon - I've seen 'em several times. They are so good on those rocks they make our Hummers look like a Jeep!
