38's will fit, I've got them on mine and there are others on the board with them. Mine are also on 20x12 rims so they are wider than normal also.
Congrats, you're gonna LOVE it! The 35's are gonna look silly though. Like a roller skate 
Once you get some meats on it, it will look great though! Save up for gears, mine are getting installed today!
