I must take exactly the opposite stance lest i let you down, phil.
Black is for people who are trying to avoid animosity from other drives or 'wheelers and hide from the bling-bling image. I mean, its stressful when jeepers are mean and all. So chrome = flaunting, yes, but black = hiding in the corner.

And in the end, blacking out a vehicle and chroming it up are peas in a pod. Modification of a vehicle to stand out or gain a look that suits whatever.
