shotgun for home protection. Perps know the sound of a pump action and know that accuracy is not an issue. Handguns are not accurate at anything other than close range. I keep a model 11 auto under my bed, ammo in the closet 4 steps away. Perps can still hear the unmistakable sound of the action when I chamber a round.
