No, it's not a common occurance for me to bump 100, it's just that I don't like being choked off by a computer setpoint. I DO drive 80+ all the time (thank you V1) Almost every day I drive 45 miles home or to work and don't see another vehicle either way so haul asss mode is the norm, hell if there were a button on the dash to drop the H3 five inches for hot roadwork, I would've bought the option!
97 isn't that fast, period. The H3 has a nice, low, wide footprint and handles quite well at that speed, and probably more. It's no big deal unless you're a bad driver that isn't used to handling vehicles at high speed. If you're one of those, then 55mph is easily maintained eh?
The biggest problem I have with the limiter is that sometimes I go to pass some a-hole on a long stretch and he/she speeds up. Well, a lot of them have a limiter too and it'd be awfully nice to hand 'em their ass by walking by them while their computer is shutting them down.
