That's the key right there. The factory tow package is mounted higher and has a cutout in the bumper. If you try to install the tow package later you will either need to replace the bumper or go with an aftermarket hitch which will mount below the bumper and affect your departure angle (not real important if you don't wheel, but it also looks like crap
).
Just stay away from the towing convenience package, its a ripoff.
