I've also met other people who grew up with Flouridated water who've had a lot of cavities. I just don't believe it works for everyone like it's advertised. My kids grew up without flouride in the water but used a flouride rinse. They have perfect teeth.
It may help some but I don't believe it help's all.

I still think flouride in moderate amounts is good for your teeth, less than or = to 1/ppm. I think alot of the problem is with natural fluoridation, the flouride that occurs naturally in well water and flouride from waste products. Because you can not control it. It's very hard to determine how flouride works due to diet. Everyone eats different things. In America we eat alot of sugar. I tell my patients that alot of things that start with a "C" can cause cavities. Cookies, Candy, Coke, Cake...... You have other populations that have a small number of caries due to diet. Lots of fish and rice. I still think the best way to prevent caries is by manual means, brushing and flossing. But I must say thank you for talking about this, because it had me look this stuff up again and read up on the subject. But I did have some issues with it due to the fact that one of the websites is called "treehugger". I guess smoking pot, listening to Phish, and voting for Billary will be the best thing for your teeth.
