The "distant light" in the last photo is actually one of those super-bright, four fixture parking lot lights at the nearby mall. It is approximately 150 yards away.
Visibility dropped to less than twenty feet at one point. I decided to stay put as you can see from the H being parked in the driveway  |
I drove through it on sunday from virgina to ny , snow /sleet /rain
they do a good job keeping the roads sanded
