Also the round knob to the left of the nav system is probably the 4wd selector, thats what it looks like in my tahoe, only its to the left of the steering wheel in the tahoe

Yes it is the 4WD selector switch.
As for M, I didn't check, but I know what it means on other vehicles.
(Paddle shifter maybe?)
