Lots of fun. I rather have a 4 banger and dual transfer cases and huge gears when crawling. Sand is a good element for a having a supercharger. Snow, not so much.

The I5 for one thing just isn't made from high enough strength components to run more than 5-8psi on either a sc or turbo. Even if you could find enough room to run an innercooler you're getting to maybe 8-10psi. About 60 to 70 hp at the crank. Sooooooooooooooo not worth the maybe 15k you'll go before you rip the valve spring retainers off. If you want more power you're better off doing the small V8 swap. Much easier to modulate power and it will cost you the same amount in the long run. Not to mention the front diff that has already had its share of problems. And I've already ripped a front drive shaft. My summer car is a PT vert' turbo. It's modded to run 20psi and I would not want that kind of kick in the 3. That kind of power would throw it sideways on the trail to easily.
