A engine borrowed from Chevy? Cool, didn't know Chevy made engines anymore. I guess they must have purchased GM powertrain. Hell, the LS engines are NOT made by Chevy. I really love the one about the ZO6 engine being assembled by man. Guess what, they are no more assembled by hand then any other engine GM makes. As for tuned to the vehicle.... 
I read two other articles in the past few weeks, and one starts the Alpha out around 45K.
From the advertisements, it appears the Alpha will be a Lux with a V8, so price out a lux and add about 2K for the engine, front axle (which to be honest is not that much more than the existing axle), and a few other goodies such as 3 more spark plugs and three more coils....  (This my guess, and I'll say it again, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE PRICE WILL BE... well, at least until the end of this month.) |

As far as the pricing goes, this was a tongue & cheek thread that you obviously did not get. Yeah, they guess $35K, but I would probably think that it will be impossible to get one for that. As another posted, the dealers are going to load them with a ton of garbage to jack up the price even more.
