..your correct. That was the deal back then. Guys use to brag how they would change oil at 1000 miles and 1500 miles. I always changed it at 2500. But ...as stated that was back in the old days.
After this 3000 mile change it'll be @ 5000 mile intervals. and...who knows maybe at 10K miles with the new Mobil one long Life BS that just came out.
