Never saw a post from me that said the H3 would never get a V8! Why? Because before I purchased my current H3, I had already seen the V8 version.
In addition, my previous message
never implied a diesel will never be in the H3, only that the
4.5L will NEVER be in the H3. If you read the auto papers, or had been on this forum longer than a few days, you would know there is a diesel in the H3 for European/Asian export. Therefore, a diesel is in the H3, but NOT the 4.5L.
As for the US market, I will say what I have basically always said, "there is NO diesel slated for the US/European H3;
AT THIS TIME. "At this time," does NOT mean:
Yes there will be one in the future or No there will never be one in the future. It basically means at this time, no one at GM believes a diesel in the H3 is a worthwhile project due to the limited number that would be sold. Someday in the future, this belief may change as the market changes. However, for the market to change, people have to change and accept a diesel in something other than a truck or a vehicle used to tow or carry a large load.
