The question
is kinda dumb (don't get all sensitive). If you were going to turbo charge or super charge a brand new engine, and a larger displacement engine for the same model was available, why wouldn't you try that first? The GM warranty is valuable if you plan to off road your truck. They've been good at standing behind mine for damages sustained while off road.
In some situations (rare by my guess) the extra power might help you off road, but in most cases it is power (the misapplication of) that breaks things off road. The H3 has plenty of power (torque) in four low locked, with the 5 cylinder motor available. This is mostly due to gearing. They geared the Alpha from 4.56's to 4.10's because of the new engine power.
