I tried to get the shackles on but failed. I started on the drivers side. I undid the shocks, loosened the sway bar, undid the abs clip, jacked her up and took the tire off and undid the stock shackle. I put a jack stand on the frame rail just in front of the forward spring perch. The leaf spring will not release down enough to allow me to line up the spring and shackle bolt holes. The rear of the leaf is pressed up against the frame mounting point. It looks like I need to get the leaf to hang down lower, but how? I gave up and put the stock shackle back on. Which was a pain itself because of the leaf being pressed up against the frame mounting point. Very frustrating. Pup, your write-up made it sound simple, so I must be doing something really wrong. Any ideas?
