The cause behind the harder shift is due to the shorter overlap period from reclaibration by the shift kit. Shorter overlaps between shifts reduces some of the heat and stress on the trans at the expense of drivability comfort.
It's one thing in a smaller car, but I wonder how much you'd notice in a H2?
At any rate I don't think a different servo is going to have the same effect as a shift kit, it might *feel* the same but the temperature and pressure in the trans will tell a different story.
