Default Re: Corvette servo's for an H2

Go with a 2/4 vette servo which will help tranny to hold up longer under the increased stress of HP etc. It will help in line pressure build up mostly to help tranny last longer. I'm thinking about going to the old vacumm control servo instead of electronic so I can make it build even more or less line pressure. Your preventing the clutchs from slipping as much just as you would want to lessen your manual clutch from slipping to much.

Do not use shift kit. In the handheld you used to tune with it may have shift point control already there. It is nice to shorten points some but, keep it where the ride is still nice. If you get a little to much higher on temp gauge in dash add another tranny cooler with it's own fan to work with what you have already. You could just increase the size of cooler but, I find it simpler to add a second one.

Hope this helps. Listen to your Hummer tech he seems to know what he is talking about. There are others here that can help. I have given you what I feel your tech is also trying to suggest and I run allot of HP/TQ and will be adding methanol inj. after new paint job in Jan. 08. Also looking at a 5 speed manual conversion with manual transfer shift so I can run in 2WD as much as I want. It has been done by another shop out west and not a big deal to do this swap. We will start offering it later if it goes well and it is enjoyable as well as liked in car shows which I would think it should be.
