Hey everyone! Ive been reading a lot of threads on this forum for a while now but I had a question as I am in the market for an H1. I am no stranger to the HMMWV. Ive spent the past 6 years in the Marines where i went to school for a year and a half learning everything there is to know about a HMMWV. Ive spent 2 tours in the sandbox going all over the place fixing and picking up downed vehicles. Anyways time for the question, How much different are the civilian version of the h1 from the military version of the h1 other than interior cosmetics. I still have a copy of a TM for the M1098 (military version of the wagon w/turbo 6.5 and A/C) so i can still be up to par with knowledge. Also what year did they switch from the turbo 400 w/ the 6.2 to the 4l80E and the 6.5?
