Dave, you are on track. I have thought about ordering a base model with some options I want. Do you think they will offer a 07 base model order at this point in the year? I don't think so either.
My best hope is to find a base model 2007 that has some of the options I want and the ability to add more in the future.
I have looked at these since Jan and it seems that the "deals" in Dec are not that much different than January. I do think they are offering the car at a lesser price than 11 months ago and 0% , but I still can't fathom spending $450 and up a month.
