There is still quite a bit of sentiment against it, but an equal ammount of 'what if' fear should a bail out not pass. I think they'll get some cash, but not all they're asking. I also think it's a wise decision for congress to change the laws and set up an oversight committe (or single person) with the powers of a federal bankruptcy judge (i.e. get rid of union contracts, possibly some dealer agreements). This allows the big three to get the benefits of bankruptcy without having to delcare it and shake consumer confidence.
