Borg Warner makes both transfer cases, model 4493 is used on the standard H3 and has a 2.64:1 low range reduction ratio. The 4494 is used in the off-road package (adventure series) and has a 4.03:1 ratio. (That's why the off-road crawls like a 4700 lb. snail with hemorrhoids )

Both autos have the 4.56 gear, but not sure about the manual. Just looked up a manual and per the build record, it also has the 4.56 rear end. Just learned something.
