Man, I am not sure they use that crap around here. I know they dump globs of salt on the road though.
That is the one thing I hate about VT...the slush when the DOT dumps salt on the roads. Back roads *dirt* only get sand, so that is nice. I remember when I was in Montana and they were using ashes...that was cool!
I might go with the silver ones...safer than sorry I guess...who knows. If there is a chance they will be ruined - I would rather not take the chance.
