Post Hummer resale value

I wanted to discuss this because I have never owned a car/truck that loses its resale value this fast. I bought my Hummer used here in Finland back in 2005. Back then it cost me 100 000€uros now its worth 27000€uros nobody wants it even for 20000€uros. Dealers give aroung 25000-19000€uros.

In here 2003 Hummer H2 cost less than a ATV these days there are many for sale under 16000€uros.

What the hell is going on. Hummers are only SUV´s this cheap. Like some 2005 model mitsubishi pajero is still worth 35k in here ! Or MB ML 35k or more.

Who cares. Let the bottom fall out. I promise, in 10 years, they will be worth quite abit. Like an old Landcruiser, Defender 90, or an old Bronco. Being out of production will make them worth more down the road.

There's one thing you can't argue with, there's never been a better time to buy a Hummer or add another Hummer. There's the frustration factor when your Hummer dealer closes and you have to go to a Chevy dealer that may or may not know what's going on that might tempt you to just get rid of it. You may have lost that personal connection with the dealership (because it's gone) which is a big factor to some people. I bought my Hummer to put fun back in driving and go through places where cars and other SUVs fear to tread, if the values go down, so be it. My Hummer will be cheaper to insure and pay taxes on.
The minute GM announced the brand was up for sale they shot the resale value in the foot and if it isn't picked up by anyone, I think values will start coming up again after a few years.

Yeah. Keep it forever. It is a wonderful part of american history. Your grand kids will marvel at it as they are forced to ride in a FNG smart car with a mexican flag painted on the hood.
