Default Re: H2 Manual Transmission Swap

TAZ, honestly, your da' man!!!!

Here is something, have you ever seen those mercury marine boat engines with the dual roots blowers on top? Well........ tick, tock, tick, tock...... how badass would it be to have a twin roots blown H2 at SEMA?! Maybe for the down the line but i have always though it would be killer to have a setup like that in a car/truck and the H2 is tough enough to pull it off.

Anyways, just some ranting! I would love to do the 5spd but, I DD this thing ALOT!.. and i like to just cruise in the H2. Though, the idea of rowin' through gears in a H2 is a cool one. However, the selectable transfercase is another story. That is something I would most definitely do and keep the 6.0L motor. Maybe even swap the 6l80e trans and modify the pcm. The sensors might be a hassle so some custom wiring might be in order, though, a 6spd auto and our rear gear ratio would be a good combo....

Have you heard of a gear vendor? Cool product. Its basically a gear driving splitter that will effectively over/underdrive your current gear ratio. For example, let say your are in 4th/od and its a .63 gear. With the gear vendor off, it remains at .63. However, engage the gear vendor and that gear is now split down to, let say, .40. It lowers your gear ratio to improve your miles per gallon average, also converting your trans from a 4spd to an 8 spd!!!!

sweet huh?

anyways, good luck at sema, gonna check out your pics...

laterZ!
