OK, you can shoot this full of holes if you want. I just talked to a guy at Wheel Specialtists, in Tempe AZ. They do wheels for the local Hummer Dealer. They had an H3 in, and it sold befor ethey could fit some wheels on it. The offset is in the 30s, and needs a 8-9.5" width at max.
He said that the Hummer Rep was telling him about a new version of the H3 with a V8 packed in it! Wonder if that is baddddd news for all the people that are buying the I5s...
What do you think Builder, you heard of that?

Hmm... Hummer said that they went with the I5 because a 6 wouldn't fit.

In my opinion, ir would be a plus plus. Compact size, and much better power...
The v8 Cherokee was a good running vehicle. Gas shouldn't be too bad maybe 15-18?

Im no expert but wouldnt a V8 engine require GM to redesigned the drivetrain and chassis for the H3.... sounds like BS to me. If they really want to push more power out of the H3 it will be more practical for them outfit it with a SC instead of a bigger motor not to mention the cost of the vehicle will go up as well(which contradict GM's idea that H3 was meant to be more affordable)

Supposedly the euro H3s will be getting a diesel.
I'd be up for that.

I don't see how they could fit a V8 in that engine compartment.

I saw a TV show the other night where they put a GS430 Lexus engine in a small IS300 compartment. Small mods done, but it fit, and was fasssst...

You all know darn well it is going to come out with a V-8. They are just trying to reel us in for the kill on the first year model. My freekin BMW X5 has a V8 in it so you know they can find a way to put one in the H3. Holding out for a V8 slate blue metallic.

and it will probably be about $50K. so if you need a v8, you might as well get an H2. or spend about $2k on a supercharger when they come out.

I was in San Diego with my dealer most of the weekend, the sales manager told me that he was in a meeting two weeks ago with the hummer general accessories manager (or something like that) and he was told that GM is already working on a Super Charger and an Exhaust System for the H3, he said they would be out by the end of the year... anyone can confirm this?
