OnStar rant
In the beginning all was well in the world, there was a promise that I could use OnStar for a few months to see how I liked it for free, all of the great benefits, bla bla bla.
I finally called OnStar and a very pleasant and well versed operator helped me with the system and made an offer of purchasing additional minutes for a reduced rate while still holding onto the thirty free minutes I already had. I was skeptical and asked how long they would last, (I have a cell phone that has about 10,000 rollover minutes) She responded, ?as long as you are a subscriber they do not expire? I thought what the hell why not, they told me at the dealership that the reception is far greater than a cell phone, and when I would need it most would be out in the middle of nowhere fishing and need to tell someone I caught the big one!, so I agreed.
After that I receive a very nice follow up letter with these handy little cards that have my number on them so I can make sure my loved one?s would have the number for the truck, as I read the fine print I saw that my newly purchased minutes has an expiration date of next year and said what in the heck is going on.
To make this a even longer story I decided to write a nice e-mail asking for a clarification before going off on some rant about misrepresentation. They clarified it alright, they said? ?Minutes for OnStar Hands-Free Calling are generally good for one year after you buy them, provided you maintain an active OnStar subscription. Having an active OnStar account does not ensure that minutes purchased will be extended beyond the minute expiration date. At this time, it is not available as a separate service. We apologize for the unsatisfactory experience you had with OnStar. We want to sincerely thank you for taking the time and effort to bring your concerns to our attention. We regret that your experience has been a negative one.In order to carry over your hands free calling minutes you must add more minutes before the current ones expire.?
Makes me want to go right out to my 3 and tear the damn thing out! Thanks but no thanks Big Brother!
Ok I feel better now, thanks for the space to rant, now I will have to watch my rearview mirror and try not to become paranoid!

I can only hope, maybe a change in the way they handle roll over minutes.
Wow, maybe she thought you would let her in because you didn't want to have your nice new truck scratched!
Maybe she is from Boston, they just pretend not to see you and keep driving until you push in their door with your front bumper!
How do you know she was a slut??

You got your first year of Onstar service free right?
As far as the phone minutes with Onstar, I used their scam up and added another number to the Verizon account. It's fairly cheap. I don't rack up minutes on it but have the phone available.
