Because if you loop the strap around and through itself and pull it tight it cinches in on itself. It's a PISSER to undo. Plan on using a screwdriver, hammer and a lot of wrangling to get it to loosen up.

And a fine morning to you too, DRTY. How's life treating you?
TXSUT, it also put unnecessary wear on the strap.

-Pete </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Well, it's actually really very simple. Either you tie a knot with the strap or you have to use a shackle or other method to "hook" the strap to the D-ring. The knot idea should be the last resort if nothing else is available.

Plenty of truth.
You are on the "coast side" of your Ring and Pinion.

Well in your case 20 years of being a self proclaimed CockDestroyer, I imagine you could fit a 2 litre bottle of Coke in your rear end.

If one breaks, I would much rather have half the strap flying at me than half the chain

Nope, still in love. Just got back from Vegas. I got the highest award offered by National Ski Patrol. The National Chairman presented it to me. Blondie will be out here in a few days. Then we will fly back to Tx together, "Meeet the Parents" style.
Wish me luck.

Congrats on your award man, that is great. Good luck with the whole "Meet the Parents" thing.

Thank you H2N & Horace. She's got 2 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, so I think I'm okay on my bathroom protocol. I'm just hoping they like me.

Thankfully, with the size of our dogs, that would be impossible!
Tower... don't forget -- it's "meet the sister", too!
