Where's a good place to stick an amp?
I'm going to be putting in a new head unit that will require an amp for the stock door speakers. It won't be real powerful... maybe 50 watts/ch. I figure the dash area would be most convenient since it has to bridge the head unit and the wiring harness, but is there enough room in there? If not, any good ideas?

I don't think you are going to be able to fit an amp in the dash but you might look at putting it under the seat. I have not looked to see if there is room under the seat and am guessing there isn't but it is worth a look. Do you have the monsoon system? If not, try putting it behind the left side panel in the cargo area.

I do have the Monsoon. I also have the power seats, so I noticed if someone were to lower them all the way, it gets awfully tight. Also, much of the area underneath the seat is taken up by the AC ducts that target the rear passengers.

Yeah, I thought of that, that's why I changed the title from my original one, "Where can I stick my amp?"

Will these work?
I found these small audiophile amp kits. I think I could fit 2 in the dash easily, but they are only 25 wpc peak (10-15 RMS???).

Question is, would these be appropriate for driving the monsoon? My understanding is that my current 6-disk head unit has only a small amp and that the Monsoon amp drives the door speakers as well as the sub. So would these AMP3's match that capability?

Unless you want to run all kinds of wire to the back you have little choice. There is some space behind the center console up by the dash but measure carefully B4 buying. Then try Crushfeilds.com. Great tech assist.
