Default Tow Hitch drop length?

I need to tow something for the first time this weekend so I need to pick up the hitch/ball to go into the reciever. What is the proper "drop" I need to buy for the H3?

I'm going to be pulling a friends 1967 Land Rover to a car show for him.

Any help is appreciated!! Thanks! Mike

Depends on the trailer tongue height and your tow package. When my factory package arrived with stock tires for my trailer to sit correctly needed 8" drop...

Thanks guys. Has anyone towed a vehicle this size? I've yet to tow with the H3 and wondering how it will do pulling something this large.

Limits from owner manual state 500 tongue and 4500 lb tow object deduct any payload...

I don't think you will have a problem getting it goin'. I would check and make sure the trailer has trailer brakes. If your towing something almost as heavy as the truck it might be a good idea.
