Default Brake pads and rotors

Need new front brakes. Went to RockAuto, to many choices , what do I do?

2003 H2, Its my daily driver, 12K miles /year. no extreme off road, just occasional dirt road.

What pads and rotor should I get. The back do not need doing, so they dont have to match, do they?

thanks for the advice.

I dont know what choices you do have but up here in Canada i use wagner thermo quiet pads, best cheap pad i have found i have them on my tbss and they work great. As for rotors i would use a mid line rotor, by midline i mean not the cheapest but one in the middle price range.

EBC yellow stuff (that is the actual name)

Both front and rear

Also, not sure your exp level, but lube everything to stop the squeaks

With the super long life of the stock brakes, I would just go with OE stuff... I stopped using aftermarket brake pads a long time ago. Too many times having issues with squeeling, grinding noise, etc... Also have had some issues with inferior rotors. I say if it works well, stick with it. Use aftermarket where it really improves something, is the same as OE but less or you just do not want to spend money for the OE (not to say that some of the aftermarket can be way more than oe when is specialized/custom)

I agree, stick with OEM! With an '03 and never changes pads or rotors that should tell you something. The OEM brakes don't squeak or squeal and have a long life of service.
