Default 2009 H2 E85 with flex fuel engine?

I noticed yesterday that ethanol (E85) is down to $1.19 a gallon here. Anyone running an '09 H2 on ethanol? I was wondering how the performance and mileage was. I can't find any road tests on the new '09 H2 where they ran the flex fuel engine on ethanol. Have you driven an '09 H2 on ethanol Hummer Guy?????

$1.19 sounds cheap but I believe that you dont get good MPG with ethanol. I havnt heard of any reviews on an H2 running straight ethanol yet.

From what I hear the E85 Flex Fuel engine will not get better gas mileage than the unleaded gas fuel. It burns quicker and actually only meant as an altermative to the higher gas prices for unleaded and above. Even though Ethanol fuel is expensive to produce.

I have a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L Flex Fuel option and the only time I was pumping flex fuel into it was when the gas prices were thru the roof and the alternative flex fuel was a better option as far as saving money.

Performance on my Chevy Silverado seems about the same no noticeable differnce when I run either fuel but I do know for a fact it burns quicker and lasts less on a full tank than unleaded.

Right now in Colorado flex fuel is around $1.69 a gallon and unleaded is $1.79 so for the differance of 10 cents the best bet is running unleaded as you are going to get more MPG than flex fuel. From what I was told when I bought the truck flex fuel is suppose to run cleaner and your engine is suppose to be more effecient but in the long run if gas prices stay as low right now and ethanol doesn't dip well below what it is. I would consider just running unleaded from my experience. It justs makes more sense in the long run.But I would be interested in knowing what the H2 does get as far as MPG on flex fuel compared to unleaded. I find it hard to believe it can be as much as unleaded because the Silverado 5.3L doesn't compare.

Does anybody know???
