Default Drivers seat relocation?

Hey all,
I am curious if there is anyway to rebolt the bottom (platform/sliders) of the drivers seat 6 inches back?

Basically I am of no concern with the rear seat leg room, but I just find it amusing how the seat can move all the way to the steering wheel (which is useless) but doesnt move back all the way for people who are differently sized.

Basically what i was thinking was drilling 4 new holes about 6-8 inches back, and using some high grade bolts to refasten it to the floor, then cutting off the original bolts that are sticking up.

Anyone see any issues with this or have any comments?

Its not that simple...the floor pan is not flat. There is a flat base the seats sit on. You would have to build that up rearward.

Electrical- You could probably do 3" fairly easily, but 6-8" is going to have you splicing some extension wire in for all the seating components.

Thanks for the diagram MUD
I am not concerned with the items you have stated. to me those are little things
What I guess I am concerned with is are there anything under that prevents me from drilling that would have to be moved, will the chassis/floor board be able to take the drilling or will it rip the seat off it on a hard stop.

things like that.
