Don't forget the diode mentioned in page 2. Easy & cheap from Radio Shack.

Oh, well why didn't you say that in the first place? Now we'll all bow down and be at your beck & call.
Ever hear of a search feature? It's the "Find" button at the top of this column, between the New & Notify bottons.

Don't get such a pissy attitude. if you'd actually used the Find feature you would have gotten a list of subjects. All your lazy newbie ass would have had to do was look through them a little bit to find this, no.. sorry, this.

Since this is the internet you can't write you apology to me in your blood, so I'll accept a humble "I'm sorry, I was PMSing".

apology accepted. i had done a search and i got the same thing you posted. but they had hooked up the DRL to the parking lights, what i want to do is hook it up to the low headlight beam so when i put the hoigh beam on they turn off and when i go back to low beam they come back on.

Sorry for being a jerk earlier

I put the diode in place, following the instructions found here in the forum, and THAT IS what happens. The DRL's are on with the low beams, and off with the high beams.

Makes for an interesting effect when you "flash" the lights (the "visible horn") because the DRLs go off (with the low beams, if they were on) when the highs go on. Then the DRLs return back on once you let the "visible horn" go.

(It can be a relatively light duty diode, by the way. Only the current for the pulling of the relay, less than a quarter amp, NOT the lamp current for the DRL's, goes through the diode.)
