Default What's the best black paint to use on brush gaurd?

Wanting to paint my Chrome brush gaurd black. Don't really want to powder coat it because I don't want it to be smooth. I like the way my old hummer looked. What do you think will be the best paint to give me this look?

I use Dupli-color Truck Bed Coating. It comes in a regular spray can for around $8.00. Touch ups are very easy.

I wouldn;t paint the BG. It will only chip on ya....esp. if you hit it with the preasure washer.

you can get textured powder coating done....or if you want more texture, for about the same cost, you can have it rhino lined. I thought I read somewhere you can not only have it colored to your paint code, but can alos have the desired texture added.

You may wnat to look into it.

Youre old truck kicks a$$ btw.

My local auto body is looking into custom pc'ing for me now. I want to go with a gunmetal color on the brushguard, tail light guards, hood handles, hodd buckles and that inset on the mirrors, and the H2 badges. The issue will be matching it as a couple of the parts are plastic and the rest are metal.

I'll let you know what he sais on teh powdercoating and textured finish. ...should know on on or Tues.

With proper preparation chipping shouldn't be an issue. I've only touched up some spots that were a bit light in color, however no chipping and I offroad alot.

Thanks Tim! I should have kept it. I had it just how I wanted it. Someone made an offer I couldn't refuse. I've spent a lot of money on other trucks to realize I only like Hummers!

I went to home depot and bought some bed liner spray. I'll see how that works for now. If it chips I'll have it powder coated. Has to be sand blasted anyway!
