really??
Started my truck up today and on my message it read "Battery Not Charging"
Volts on dash were between 10/14V then, as I drove it would revive itself and go just past 14V.
Each time I started the rig, the message would come up again. So, I drove it to NTB to check out the battery, and they said it was fine???But, the charging was low???
I left there possibly thinking Alternator, since charging was low.. I pulled onto my driveway, shut the rig down, then tried to start it, and its dead!! Good thing I was on my driveway!! MY air compressor also read "service air compressor"
Any ideas PLEASE!! Battery/Alternator????

Re: really??
If your battery tested good, your alternator isnt charging it, and without the alternator recharging it on the drive home, the truck used up all the juice the battery had. Lucky you made it home, Ive had a few that the vehicle shuts down on the hiway when the batteries voltage finally dropped low enough
