On the road- Road noise is less than expected. They will growl some at low speeds but the noise is not nearly what you would expect at 60-70 mph.
In the sand- I got into some sand/pea gravel mix. They definitely would dig a hole if you allowed them to but seemed to float nicely across without any issues.
On the rocks- We did a few climbs on rocks/concrete hills. The tires stuck to the surface and provided virtually no slippage while going up. They provided excellent control. I did use front/rear lockers while climbing. The tires complemented the lockers very nicely.
In the mud- I mainly used them on trails that were very slick mud/branch type of footings. They gripped really well and once again provided good control as they cleaned out very well.
