Default line x ?

hi i was just wondering if anyone has ever tried to Line X their wheels.i just got my grill done.... i have some stock wheels i was gonna have them powder coated.. but i have a friend that works at Line X and he said he could do them.. just wondering if anyone has ever done that .. how do you think it would hold up? thanks!

i thought about it too one time. one reason i went with powdercoating instead was because of them maybe not getting sprayed perfectly even and therefore having balancing issues. but that is just a theory. a pretty lame one at that. oh well, dont think i helped.

yeah that helped... thanks.. that was my concern also. i wasnt sure if it would make any difference when trying to balance them.. the guy said he could just do a couple of light coats... i might try it just to see how they turn out..

It will probably scrape off pretty easy and peel. But that is merely speculation- heat, rotation, dirt and water exposure. The powder coating has worked for other members in the past, a flat or semi gloss looks good.

If you can get the line-x for free, you can try it and just rattle can black any parts that peel.

A lot of people have just ratlle canned them black and touch it up as necessary, a textured spray is recommended. Cheap, easy and it looks good. Just a thought.

i did rattle can a set and they are still holding up pretty good. i just had a extra set and had the idea of the line x .. and was just wondering how it would work. if i can get it done cheap or free. ill post a pic and let you know how it turns out.
