Can I get a good match from an automotive store or wallmart? not being cheap, i just want to do it myself. unless someone talks me out of it.

Window tinting is one of those things best left to a professional. It is relatively inexpensive, they do a better job, and it's guaranteed.

I agree, tinting is best done by a pro. 3M was brand used on my 2 front windowns. Even the pros make mistakes and have to redo it sometimes.

Took the pro two tries to get the passenger window right.

I was thinking of tinting the front windows.
How is it at night can you see out them well?

I have 15% llumar on the 2 front sides for $55. 50% llumar on the entire windshield for $100.

I would highly suggest you get a pro to do it because

1) saves you a lot of time
2) it is likely to be done right
3) you have someone to take it back to if there is a prob
4) no hummer deserves bubble tint! it's tricky

fourfourto - I don't find it hard to see at night, if you can see good now, it'll be no problem.

I had front tint on a car before and at night it was hard to make lefts on a dark road .I usually rolled down the window.

How does the windshield hold up .I got a chip and had it repaired(not happy with repair but it wont crack and its behind mirror)I also have several very small nicks.

REMEMBER !!!

Check your local LAWS before tinting your front windows...

It can cost you

sounds like 15% film is the match. ok, you all talked me out of it. i'll let someone with patience do it .
I think i might be able to get away with the front windows, but not the windshield. I've had a black chevy with chevy tint front windows and never had a problem with the law. thanks for the advise.

I have had 15% on my vehicles for the past 15 years so I have gotten used to it. I go 15% because it is the best match to the back. Yes, it can be more difficult to see on a dark road though. Coming down the one lane mountain road from the trails last Sunday night I had to roll them down. Didn't want to go off any of those 200' drop offs

I did mine myself. Took 15 mins. I bought the Pre-Cut tint for the H3 off of eBay. Here is the link to check your state laws first.State Laws for Tint % Here in WV the front 2 windows have to be 35% or less. Here is the eBay link to the Pre-Cut tint for the H-3 Pre-Cut tint

How does the 20% match the side windows.

20%...and in my last car I had 15%, and was pulled over just for that, and ticketed just for that...Indiana is a bad state to drive through w/ dark windows..

You can get pulled over for tint in a state that your vehicle isn't registered in?
