Upgraded Sway Bar?
Has anyone upgraded their sway bars? If so, who did you go with, and did you notice a difference?
Thanks,
Charles

Re: Upgraded Sway Bar?
Here's an old thread that's never seen any love...(BUMP)
I'm interested in some sway bar info too. I see that the G-Style4U has the Hotchkis set for $880 (and believe it or not they're NOT chrome...GTFO!)

I'll keep searching the forum for more info...this was the first thread I found, and it looked like it needed some attention.

Re: Upgraded Sway Bar?
id like to upgrade the sway bars. just to tighten things up a bit since the lift. another cheap fix to sloppy suspension.....polyeurethane bushings. i replaced all of them on my silverado 2500 and it handles great! minus the sloppy steering box...other than that..its tight.

Re: Upgraded Sway Bar?
I thought about doing bushings, but they can start to squeek after a while. Heck, the poly bushings in the new trailing arms I got were squeeking in only a few days after install. Nothing bad though.

Re: Upgraded Sway Bar?
i havent noticed anything with my silverado. ive had them in for 2 years now. if you use the greaseon the bushing, normally you dont get much noise. i even have poly bushings in my camaro and ive never heard any noise from them.
to be able to hear the bushing squeek, it would have to be absolutely silent...and when your driving, im sure the tires are louder than the noise coming from the bushings.....even if the tires are stock.

Re: Upgraded Sway Bar?
I have good ears...
Seriously, though, I could hear mine squeeking when driving down my driveway, but not out on the road at normal speeds. But it shouldn't be enough to deter anyone from going this route. Another option is to simply replace any worn bushings with stock ones.
