Decided to put on some headers. I am mechanically inclined but am still a "bit" worried.

Anyone out there do their own on the H2? Any tips?

Thanks

I was going to put mine on myself, but I figured I'd just have the dealer put them on with my other parts while it got it's oil change. But from what I understand they install quite easily, the tech who worked on my truck said it was a piece of cake.

I put headers on my H2, and had a shop do the install. I bought a longer tube header than the shorty headers that JBA or Gibson sell. They had to cut and weld to fit my headers, so depending on the brand it might not be a piece of cake. Also, the performance gains from the shorty headers is minimal.

I have the JBA Shorty's, I forgot to mention that earlier, I appologize. Shorty's will give you more torque.

I have The Other Guys Headers, they are a longer tube headers. What I like about these headers is the cermic coating and the exhaust flange is 1/2" thick, so no leaks.
