For some F'n reason the key does not what to come out of the ignition.. It rotates back just before the steering lock.. It just will not rotate the last 1/8th turn to release the key. I have put this thing in and out of park so many times.. And that didnt help...

Any suggestions?

Thanks the plunger worked... But I am pretty sure I broke the shifter some where.. Note to self step away when frustration sits in..

Same thing happened to me a few years back...shifter solenoid (at least thats what the dealer said). They replaced my whole shifter.
