Default H2 rockstars 20" fitting in garage

I'm a new member and i have a question for you 20" rockstar owners. My H2 is all stock and i want to get the 20" kmc rockstars with 35*12.5*20. To my question, my garage is 7ft tall and my truck fits fine with roof rails, will it fit with the rockstars? I know if i took the roof rails off it woukd fit but im hoping i wouldnt need to. Any input from owners appreciated.

your stock tire height is already 35", so if it fits now ............... changing your wheel size will not affect ride height

Going from a 17" wheel to a 20" wheel wont effect anything? And the tread depth is the same as stock bfg's? Seems weird that it would be the exact same height.

I guess my question is nitto grapplers which are mud tires and not all terains have a deeper tread, knowing it barely fits with stock is it enough of a difference not to fit. I realize they are both 35" wheels measured around.

You'll be fine with the 35 20's. Ask your installer to run the numbers to give you that peace of mind. Any good installer (discount tire) should be able to do this.

You could also try finding out the real, or actual, size of the tires. Most tires are not the size advertised, but they will show this on their website. I remember doing some research a while back for another truck, and was surprised to find that most tires were smaller than advertised, sometimes by an inch.

I believe manufacturers call it the "overall diameter".

also, remember that even if the new tires are taller by an inch or so, you only gain half that in actual ride height. if its that tight of a fit, you could always take a belt sander to your garage door header. lol

Garages who needs them, there over rated. try putting a H2 in a garage in Germany, you would have to put 12in rims on it and you might fit the height but then you aint making the width.
