Default Tire and wheel suggestions...

I have a 2005 H2 SUT. Yellow, Chromed out but its missing some nice wheels and tires. I like the stock ones but I want something a bit beefier. I like the KMC XD wheels and I like Toyo Open Country M/T wheels and the Nitto Grapplers.
How big can I go with the tires without having to lift it or sacrifice my steering?
Also, would 20' Inch wheels be adequate?

37 inch tires

I just found my next set of wheels... MOTO METAL 909 SKULL with Nitto Grapplers.

Absolutely bad ass.

with 4.53" back space, they will stick waayyyyy out. You will also need to stick with a 35" tire. 37's with that wheel spec will rub without a lift.

try to find a 9" wide wheel with 4.75 to 5" backspace and you can run a 37 12.50 MT tire and will fit with little to no rub..maybe a slight tbar crank needed.

On stock rims you can run the toyo 37x13.5 m/t but will need to crank the tbars and change the front shocks.

As I understand it, it's all in the backspacing of the wheel. I bought my truck used with the Fabtech 6" kit already installed. The guy had Toyo 37x13.50x22's on it and it rubbed. The wheels had too little backspacing.
