12v constant is orange and black (on the oppisite side of the plug) is ground. There is no switched power at that plug. What other wires do you need identified? What are you trying to install?

Onstar is behind the glove box. Are you going to use the new unit for sound or just video? You will have a very difficult time retaining the oem head unit and adding a second head unit to share the same amp/speakers and don't forget about the databus.

i am going to move the onstar buttons under the temp control. the ones in the center.. and put a dvd/headunit in that space.. i aready replaced all the factory speakers.. and added 2 jl amps.. but i figured it would cost a couple hundred dollars for the adaptors. to use the factory headunit for my main stuff. instead i was going to put that money toward a new headunit that could also play dvds...and have a aux in and better sounds quality.. and keep the factory one just for the navigation.. so i really dont even need speakers hooked up to it.. just one small one for the navagation lady..voice... dose that make sense..? thanks for your help

Well, I have never tried it, but I don't know if you can get any speaker output from the oem nav unit--I believe it is all preamp signal but wouldn't hurt to hook up a test speaker and give it a shot. However, you may need to run the signal through the oem amp to get the nav voice on an outbaord speaker. Why not just get one new unit that does dvd, nav, music, ipod, etc and sounds better? Would work better and save you a lot of hassles!!
