The front little end cap thingys I mean.

Are there good reasons for these flimsy little bolt on pieces other than to collect large amounts of mud? I was thinking about removing them but figured I better ask why you guys leave them on???

Alec is right, they do nothing, apart from catch mud. Although it makes the front of the H2 look odd somehow without them. Not sure if that is because I'm used to seeing them, or if it actually does look odd. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
James' actually serve a purpose. He uses them to push shopping carts around the local mall parking lots!

I was wheeling this weekend with a guy who has them off and, while it did look odd at first, the look grew on me! Then, when they sprayed the muddy water back at me while cleaning the rig, I thought they should go. I think the front end looks a little more aggresive and business-like without 'em so, failing someone letting me know they serve some valuable purpose, they are gone in the next few days!

Alec - why DID you put them back on???

IMO it looks fine off if the tire fills that area, like on the H3T, otherwise all you see is the wheel well

It would look killer tho with larger tires filling up that area

On our last truck I removed them and it looked good. We had wider tires and I thought it gave the truck a more aggressive appearance.

On the new truck I removed them right after taking the tube steps off, but put them back on because the truck looked stupid with the new flares and no wings.

Pic of old truck.

Mine came off early on, and in there place, 3 ring binder plastic page protectors...Pics attached.

Works great to keep some stuff from getting under the hood.

Pretty dorky I know....I was trying to find some big piece of rubber, like from a mud flap or something and just stumbled on this. I used 2 sheets on each side to stiffen it a bit, and had to cut a small slot where the bumper meets up, and painted the bolts black with Rustoleum. Otherwise, the 3-ring holes are a perfect fit!

That's as innovative as the custom hood handles for the H3
